About
Perry Psychiatry, LLC plays a much-needed role in Massachusetts in the clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management of patients from a variety of backgrounds and with a wide range of mental health concerns.

Erica Perry, PMHNP-BC
Erica Perry is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric diagnostic assessment and medication management to adolescents and adults.
After seven years of experience working with a diverse population of patients as a Registered Nurse, Erica Perry, PMHNP-BC obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College in Wellesley, MA and received board certification from the ANCC as a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner.
Erica received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, MA. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Boston University.
She lives in Central Massachusetts with her husband and three children.
Nicole Cook, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Nicole received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fitchburg State University and Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College. She has over 10 years of experience caring for and treating patients with a range of mental health conditions. She has worked in behavioral health across the life span, as well as with patients who have physical and intellectual disabilities. Nicole has managed nursing services at several residential and group living programs as well as in-home services.
Nicole values a holistic approach to mental health care and works collaboratively with other health care providers. She acknowledges that medication management is only one of many resources for the treatment of mental disorders and utilizes an integrated approach to care. Through active listening, assessment skills, and a strong foundation of evidence-based practice, Nicole’s top priority is assisting patients to achieve their highest quality of life.


Shaun L’Esperance, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Shaun (he/him) is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a diverse clinical background and a strong commitment to person-centered care. He earned his undergraduate degree from Worcester State University in 2009 and began his nursing career in oncology at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where he developed a deep appreciation for compassionate, relationship-based care. He went on to complete his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner at UMass Chan Medical School in 2014. He returned to UMass Chan Medical School to complete a post-graduate certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2025, further expanding his ability to support individuals navigating mental health challenges.
Over the course of his career, Shaun has practiced in a wide range of settings, including home- and community-based care, correctional healthcare, and inpatient addiction treatment. These experiences have shaped his holistic approach to care and strengthened his ability to meet patients where they are, both medically and emotionally.
In his clinical practice, he prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in respect, dignity, and open communication. He believes in empowering patients through education and shared decision-making, ensuring that care is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s needs. Shaun has a particular interest in supporting the mental health of individuals with LGBTQIA+ identities, as well as the intersection between religion and mental health. Shaun is excited to join Perry Psychiatry and begin this next chapter in his professional journey.
